Metrics

Software and IT organizations use metrics effectively to pin-point trouble spots and improve continuously.

We measure various parts of the process, starting from simple things like number of lines of code (kLOC) and team size to variance in the number of class relationships initially defined and finally implemented. Quality metrics that are gathered refer to find and correction rates and how they changed over time.

These metrics are analyzed to determine the impact of various factors on project performance. SCT also uses these metrics for internal benchmarking.

Though individual clients and projects may not see the role of metrics, we believe that this exercise diligently followed has helped mature our development capabilities over time.
